OUR VISION
Home for Good
seeks to eradicate
recidivism
Home for Good gives FREE career training and employment for ex-inmates who want to earn a legal living and avoid returning to prison. Of the 650k people who leave prison yearly, 27% remain unemployed due to their background. In order to survive, they must restart the illegal activities that got them imprisoned in the first place. Currently, there is an 83% recidivism rate. It is Home for Good’s vision to lower that number.
“It’s not whether you get knocked down, it’s whether you get up.” – Vince Lombardi
OUR MISSION
We offer ex-inmates the opportunity to live a responsible life, working hard to halt the revolving door of incarceration. Home for Good gives free trucking job training and ultimately employment, to ex-inmates who pass the commercial driver’s license test. This gives them the means to achieve and maintain economic stability after release. Reducing recidivism promotes greater public safety to the benefit of everyone, ex-inmates, their families, and the community.
